Why the order matters
Running Launch.bat from the ZIP preview leaves you in a temporary path that vanishes when Explorer closes. Extracting into Program Files often needs elevation you do not need for a docs pack. A user-profile folder such as Documents\CyberLeek avoids both traps. After extract, open README.txt and confirm version 1.0.0 before you chase errors that only exist because the files never landed on disk.
If the shortcut does nothing
Confirm you are on 64-bit Windows 10 or 11. Confirm the inner folder is Cyberleek_Launcher, not a nested copy of the ZIP. Right-click Launch.bat and run it from that folder so the working directory is correct. If SmartScreen blocks a first run, read the SmartScreen article; do not turn off Defender to “make install work.”
